Space Pod 010

Sleep under the Milky Way in a crystal-clear geodesic dome perched on a 100-foot volcanic hill in Terlingua, Texas — 11 minutes from Big Bend National Park. One-third of Space Pod 010 is transparent window: watch the stars straight from your bed, or pull the massive blackout curtains for total privacy. Our space-themed resort mixes art, technology, comfort and the delightfully bizarre — keep an eye out for aliens, spaceships and meteors hidden around the hill.

🚿 BATHROOMS — PLEASE READ

There is no shower or toilet inside the Pod  bathhouses with hot showers and flush toilets are a short walk away (100–400 ft). Towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. Our well water comes from a 750-foot aquifer but is non-potable — bring drinking water — and water is precious in the desert, so please keep showers to 5 minutes.

⛰️ GETTING UP THE HILL

The trail to Pod 010 is a steep dirt path — about a 2-minute hike. ATV luggage service runs 9 am–9 pm ($35 for non-emergency help after 9 pm). If the ATV isn't available, please be ready to carry your own bags.

📍 LOCATION

On TX-118 in Terlingua: 11 minutes to Big Bend National Park, 5 minutes to Terlingua Ghost Town's shops, restaurants, grocery and gas. Use Google Maps — Apple Maps struggles out here. We're in an International Dark Sky area: bring a flashlight, and arrive before sunset if you can.

Pets welcome — $95 fee for up to 2. Keep them leashed, on the trails, and never alone in the Pod. Unreported pets are charged $250.

• Steep, rocky terrain: wear proper shoes, stay on trails, close screen doors (desert wildlife is real)

• Off-grid property — occasional power outages happen

• Nearest hospital is in Alpine, 1+ hour away — adventure accordingly
