About your Space Pod 002

Picture yourself gazing at the stars through the panoramic windows of your dome, feeling the awe-inspiring beauty of the cosmos envelop you. Our space-themed resort combines art, technology, comfort, and the bizarre. Our domes are perched on the side of a 100-foot-tall volcanic hill, offering guests breathtaking views of the sweeping landscapes of Big Bend and the surrounding mountains. While hiking around our volcanic hill, you will find an abundance of weird desert plants, aliens, spaceships, meteors, and other Easter eggs. 

Located on Highway 118, we are just a 11 minute drive from Big Bend National Park and the charming Terlingua Ghost Town with it's many shops, restaurants, mines and art. Our galactic resort offers a unique experience atop a 100-foot-high volcanic hill surrounded by majestic meteor rocks. From this vantage point, you can take in panoramic views of the National Park, State Park, Santa Elena Canyon and the Chisos Mountains of Mexico. Space Pod 002 is located by the parking lot at the bottom of the hill and offers a private parking spot with great view of the park. This Space Pod is perfect for families and people with mobility issues. 

Inside your Space Pod, you'll find everything you need for a relaxing stay, including electrical outlets, air conditioning, a fridge, a fan, and even lasers that project iridescent nebulas gliding across your ceiling for a truly immersive experience. Our water comes from a 750-foot-deep aquifer, ensuring it is both soft and clean. Remember that water in the desert is a precious resource, so we kindly ask that you limit your showers to 5 minutes.

Unlike traditional geodesic domes, our Space Pods consist of rigid plastic, allowing us to have crystal-clear windows. With one-third of the dome being a window, you can enjoy the stars directly from your bed or close the massive curtains for some privacy.

Our amenities include shared outdoor bathrooms at the bottom of the hill and indoor bathrooms at the top of the hill. We will provide you with a towel, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. You are welcome to use our common grilling areas or enjoy the fire pit located next to your dome.

After a day spent exploring the park, watch the sunset from our hammock chairs and then relax around your own personal fire pit as the stars begin to light up the night sky.  At the end of the day, slip under a plush comforter and warm blankets and sleep soundly in the Space Pod's memory foam queen size bed.

Pets

$95 fee for up to 2 pets

Must remain on a leash, stay on trails, and never be left alone in a Pod

Airbnb no longer collects the pet fee automatically — pay upon arrival

Pet fee is $95. Any unreported pets will be charged $250.

Pets may not be left unattended inside the dome. Violations will result in an additional fee.

All staff members on the property are present for work or to assist with luggage transportation. Please do not interrupt them while they are working. If you need anything or have a request, contact us directly by call or message, and we will assist you promptly.

Water

Water is not potable in all the property ( space fort 003 included )

Please limit showers to 5 minutes to help conserve water

Fire Pit Safety

No fires during windy conditions

If embers rise or blow, extinguish fire immediately

Never leave fires unattended

Fully extinguish with water when finished

No dishwashing allowed on the property

Heavy water misuse by anyone in your party will result in a minimum $100 fine

Pod Locations

Pods 005, 007, 008, 009, 010, 012 and some campsites require a steep uphill hike (2–4 minutes)

ATV assistance may not always be available — be prepared to carry your items

Most accessible Pods: 002, 004, 003, and 005

Terrain may still be challenging for guests with mobility concerns

A YouTube access video will be sent on the day of check-in

Campsite Locations

Volcanic Hill campsites: 4–6 minute steep hike; not recommended for kids under 18

All other campsites are at parking-lot level

We are not responsible for weather changes at the camping site. The locations are on top of a hill, and strong winds may occur. Guests must secure their tents properly and come prepared.

House Rules — Pods Only

Each Pod includes 1 queen bed; additional memory foam floor mattress available for $95

If the extra bed is installed, a Pod can hold 2 adults + 2 kids or 3 adults

Space Fort 003 can hold 8 adults max or 6 adults and 2 kids (with optional extra mattress)

Washing dishes in Space Fort 003 is required; a $50–$100 fee applies if left unwashed

Stair Safety

First stair set has no railing — use caution

If you choose to leave your pet inside the pod while you’re away, please note that it will be entirely at your own responsibility.

Date Changes & Damages

Changes date fee :50 $

Same-day date changes are not allowed. If accommodation is possible, a $100 fee will apply.

Guests are responsible for any damages to Pods, furniture, appliances, or property

There is a $35 handling fee for mailing back any items forgotten at our property.

Shipping cost is separate and will be added based on the carrier’s rate.

Just share your address and we’ll take care of the rest.

To ensure safety, comfort, and fairness for all guests:

If you arrive with more guests than the maximum occupancy of the Pod you booked, you will be required to book an additional Pod .

If no additional spaces are available, a fee equal to the nightly rate of an extra Pod will be charged, even if the extra guests do not stay in it.

Conduct & Quiet Enjoyment

No fixed quiet hours, but guests must be respectful

Disruptive behavior may lead to removal without refund

Dark Sky Policy

Minimal lighting on property — always carry a flashlight

Arriving before dark is strongly recommended

Nature Awareness

Cacti and desert plants can be sharp — be careful not to touch or step on them

Liability Waiver:

By signing your name, you hereby waive, release and forever discharge Chup Enterprises LLC, d/b/a. Space Cowboys, its affiliates, managers, members, agents, attorneys, employees, staff, volunteers, heirs, executors, administrators, representatives, predecessors, successors and assigns from any claims resulting from physical or personal injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability, loss or death, and any property damage that may occur caused by fire, theft, vandalism, water or land-related accidents, natural events or any other occurrences or mishaps.

We are here of our free will, and entirely at our own risk. We understand that these injuries or outcomes may arise by our own or others’ negligence or conditions on the premises or the conditions or our use of amenities offered at the premises or related to travel to and from the premises. Nonetheless, we assume all related risks, both known and unknown. Chup Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a Space Cowboys, is not responsible for errors, omissions, acts or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific event or activity. I fully understand that this is a release of liability and I agree to voluntarily give up or waive any right that I otherwise have to bring legal action against Chup Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a Space Cowboys , for any personal injury or death, pet injury or death or property damage whatsoever for negligence on the part of, Chup Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a Space Cowboys, its agents and employees. This waiver and release of liability shall remain in effect for the duration of my presence at the premises. We further agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Chup Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a Space Cowboys, against any and all claims, suits or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my behalf, including attorney’s fees and any related costs.

By signing your name you agree that you have read Chup Enterprises LLC’s Waiver of Liability carefully. I clearly understand the terms and voluntarily sign this release agreement. I have also discussed this with all persons in my party and their guests and they have authorized me to sign this agreement on their behalf.

By signing your name you understand that if any members of my group break the 'House Rules', Chup Enterprises LLC reserves the right to terminate the reservation and issue no refund.
