Space Fort 003

Sleep under the Milky Way in a two-story stone fort with a crystal-clear dome built on the roof — plus a second stargazing dome beside it — perched on a 100-foot volcanic hill in Terlingua, Texas, 11 minutes from Big Bend National Park. Space Fort 003 is the largest unit on our property and the only one with its own private bathroom and full kitchen inside. It sleeps 8.

• No shared bathhouse and no walking outside at 2am — the only unit here set up this way

• Handbuilt stone kitchen with bar seating and a dining area

• Fridge and freezer stocked with complimentary drinking water

• Stove, microwave, coffee maker, cookware, plates, glasses and utensils

• Cook your own meals up here instead of driving back into town after dark

• 3 AC units (40,000 BTU total) plus heating — comfortable in August and in January

🌄 OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR

• Hilltop views of Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park, Santa Elena Canyon and the Chisos Mountains

• Private fire pit and grill (bring your own firewood)

• Sunrise from the top dome, sunset over the mountains from the deck

• One of the easiest units to reach — no steep hike, and our UTV runs luggage up 9am–9pm

📍 GETTING HERE

On TX-118 in Terlingua: 11 minutes to Big Bend National Park, 5 minutes to Terlingua Ghost Town for restaurants, live music, shops, grocery and gas. Use Google Maps — Apple Maps gets lost out here. We're in an International Dark Sky area, so try to arrive before sunset on your first night.

💧 WATER

Our well draws from a 750-foot aquifer and is not potable — complimentary drinking water is waiting in your fridge. Water is precious in the desert, so we ask for 5-minute showers.

🐾 PETS

Welcome — $95 for up to 2. Leashed, on the trails, and never left alone in the fort. Unreported pets are charged $250.

• Early check-in or late check-out $35 · date changes $50
